Tailwind is one by far one of the best free Pinterest scheduling tools on the market especially since the addition of tailwind tribes.
What is a Tailwind Tribe?
Tailwind Tribes is a new alpha feature of tailwind and unless you get an invite you won’t see the option. It is invite only sorta like Pinterest used to be.
Tailwind tribes are essentially group of people who help promote each others content on Pinterest. Unlike groups boards on Pinterest tribes allow for people to promote all types of content. For example my tribe “All Things Beautiful” is for anything that is beautiful from home decor to fashion. This allows for pinners to share all sorts of cool stuff across Pinterst.
How to Join a Tailwind Tribe
First of all you will need a free tailwind account. Sign up for tailwind here. Please note that tailwind offers both a free and premium service. You only need the free. There are no advantages to having a premium account unless you need to schedule a bunch of pins or need upgraded analytics. You can read about tailwind premium here.
If you have not already you will need to click here. This will add you to my tribe and this is where things get fun. It is important to read tribe rules first. I don’t like rules so I have very few and you will find this is common place for most tribes so lets call it tribe etiquette.
- For every pin you add reciprocate
- Vertical Pins (optional but preferred) They convert better.
- No direct affiliate links. I don’t think I need to explain why on this common sense goes a long ways
After you have joined the tribe all you need to do add some content to tailwind. You can do this by uploading your own images via the draft section on the left side of the page or hit optimize content on the left side of the page and click on the pin inspector. This will allow you to sort your pins by most popular etc. Start off adding your most popular pins a few to start and then share the love.
Since I started using tailwind and specifically tailwind tribes I have gotten a huge increase of not only repins but also blog traffic. Consequently leading to better conversion and sales.
Moreover,I have met some really cool pinners and have been able to really make my pinterest account shine with some awesome content.
All things considered tailwind is vital if you are really serious about succeeding on Pinterest.
To sum it up you can’t go wrong with this awesome marketing tool. This is one small important step to having more success with Pinterest
